P396K, The Sid Miller Academy, is a District 75 school for students with disabilities. Our school has 5 sites throughout the borough of Brooklyn. Our sites have classroom ratios ranging from 12:1:4, 6:1:1, 8:1:1, 12:1:1, Standardized Classrooms, and Inclusion. At our school we believe that if we provide students with the tools to take ownership of their learning, then they will be empowered to S.O.A.R. For this reason we have adopted a center-based approach to learning. We believe that through center-based learning, students will be allowed to access various experiences through multiple entry points that go along with their individual learning styles. Thus, we will promote student learning and goal achievement.
